Selborne Bricks Back in Production

Tower Brick And Tile Company has taken over production of the Selborne Brick, and is now in full production following an extensive refurbishment of the works near Alton in Hampshire.

he Selborne brick is hand made, using locally quarried gault clay which gives it great frost resistance and impressive strength. The original craftsmen have been employed, and the full range of specials, metrics and imperials is on offer.

The company is already delivering bespoke bricks too, and its delighted to confirm that if you can draw it they can make it. The company has also installed a tile manufacturing plant which is being commissioned this month. It will be producing its Ewhurst range initially, and anticipates developing a range to match its bricks over the summer.

Environmental factors are a key concern, and the recent work has substantially reduced the carbon emissions per brick. The company is working with Southampton University to develop a carbon neutral brick, and anticipates production later in the year.
